Yael Deckelbaum, one of the prominent and valued young creators in contemporary Israeli music, comes to us after accumulating a loyal audience. Her already rich career includes guest appearances with Machina, collaboration with Shlomo Artzi (duet “I Don’t Know What Goes Through Your Head), appearing as the third member of the successful band “Habanot Nechama” and one album in English (“Ground Zero”), taken from performances on her international tours.
Today Yael is working on a second album in English produced by Yossi Fine.
With the release of her new album “Joy and Sadness,” (her first in Hebrew), Yael continues her excursion into acoustic style, combining new material with songs from all periods.Reviews:
“Come here” (Mako website): “Yael Deckelbaum returns big-time. “Come here” is candidate for Song-of-the-Year. Her debut single from the second album is one of the best songs that came out of the country this year. A praise-worthy and exciting rock song. Groove on it. ”
“Alone” (MusicPage): “Alone” not only represents the unique voice of Deckelbaum at her best but also shows how well she can sing without apparent effort at all. Deckelbaum sings the text, which she wrote herself, with a great sense of fun growing more and more each time the chorus comes straight to the ear where it remains for some time.”
