Efi Douieb is an israeli musician and singer, born and raised in Jerusalem to a family of Tunisian and French origins.
As a child Efi was introduced by his grandfather, Jack Douieb, to the sounds of the classical Tunisian and Arabic music (Umm Kulthum, Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Farid al-Atrash, Abdel Halim Hafez, Ahmed Hamza, Raul Jurno and more).

The DJERBA GROOVE project:
Djerba is an island in the Mediterranean sea, located near the shores of north Africa. It is a Tunisian territory located in the Gabes bay, in southern Tunisia. The island is known for its musical culture, and its Jewish community is considered one of the most ancient Jewish communities in the world.
Djerba Groove ensemble is a unique multi-cultural and inter-religious musical group, composed of young Jerusalem musicians of Jewish and Arab origins, secular and religious, playing traditional authentic instruments from the East together with modern Western instruments. Their repertoire includes classical pieces of the greatest artists from Tunisia and other Arab countries, North African “Shabi” music and popular party songs, combined with original contemporary adaptations with Eastern-Western influences. They thus create a new sound that conserves the cultural connection between Oriental Jews and their Muslim neighbors.
The ensemble preforms all over Israel in festivals, shows and private events for traditional Tunisian & Moroccan weddings and Henna ceremonies.
